Welcome
Welcome to Oz.
This isn't the Oz of your childhood. This is the Oz of recently-deposed dictators, of slightly-crazy old maunts... this is the Oz where things happened differently. This is the Oz of Wicked.
No One Mourns the Wicked is a post-Wicked RP, based off the musical, the book and some of L. Frank Baum's original Oz books. We welcome both original characters and canonical ones, and encourage all of you to enter this 'merry old land' of Oz.
Coding and graphics are courtesy of Nessarose and our first Glinda. We don't own any aspect of Wicked, save for any original characters that are created here.

Opting for a most discrete attire, Phinn was wearing clothes in a dark shade of blue. The pale skin of his face, contrasting with the heavy colors of his outfit, made of the juggler face's color something more white than one thought it could be... And, coincidentally, it agreed with the feeling moving the young man's life: "It was all about appearance... it was all fake" .
Busy streets, crowded with people. Phinn's above-than-the-average-person's agility and motor coordination was avoiding direct contact with the persons filling the path. "And what am I looking for, again?" Phinnegan thought, never ever letting his guard down... this one would always keep the eye up for opportunities. The count already came to 3, when talking about days spent in the Emerald City, and Phinnegan still hadn't managed to get a job... his kind of job... a "job". Though, to achieve what he wanted, he was in need to get a legal job, through legal ways.
The flux of people increased and Phin opted for moving aside of it. His attention turned to a wall filled with posters and announces, his eyes searching for anything to be considered valuable. And then there were offers for bodyguards, offers for guinea pigs for magical experiments, offers for guinea pigs for scientific experiments and a non ending number of, in a way of speaking, unpleasant jobs. Phinn was whispering to himself, with a sarcastic grin coming across his face: "Oh, but this world is growing violent and dangerous, not like good old days of peace and tranquility... Indeed indeed... everyday you hear stories about people melting, getting killed with Axe blows, houses falling over people's heads... It is a shame, no one these days has the taste for fine arts such as the always entertaining magic."
Phinn turned around, peering at the never ending stream of people. Pink, the Cat, as he used to denominate himself when meeting people in the wildm was just stopped there, trying to get a glimpse of what to do next.

Asheah felt rushed for a strange reason. Perhaps it was because the market place was extremely busy and fast moving. She was wearing a silken lavender dress, that flowed naturally against her body. The thing that she regretted about wearing this dress is that it had some pieces that dragged behind her and she had to be careful where she was walking and who was near her.
She sighed and tried to get to the fruit stand she was heading for, but the crowd swept her away from where she was trying to get to. An aggrivated shout came from Asheah's mouth as she turned around trying to push her was back through the crowd.
She passed the billboard of available jobs for the second time, this time pushing against the crowd that was walking past it. And she had been careless about her dress and wasn't holding up any part of it. Suddenly she felt someone step on it, thrusting her forward onto the hard ground. She let out a cry of pain as she hit the ground, flat on her face.

Phinnegan rose his hand to his mouth trying to force a small laughter back to his lungs, while moving his foot away from the girl's dress, trying to not give away the identity of the responsible for that mischievous deed, himself. It was, in part, an involuntary movement. Phinn was so used to trick people that his body moved on his own seeing the opportunity to mess things up. A bit of resentment hit him, seeing as how rude he could be, but it was not enough to make him tell the truth and apologize. I fact, the feeling was there for a second and then left, as well as his laughter... no feeling inside of Phinn could make a nest for too long, that was his truth.
The lean young man crouched near the girl and offered his right hand in aid.
“Why do we fall, my lady?” He asked, rhetorically, to answer just a moment after his question. “Of course, to pick ourselves...” And he stopped there, while seeming like the word “up” was held by his throat, brought down to the state of a thought, leaving its state of word.
From his left hand, Phinn took out a red rose. Magic for the common folk and the cheapest of the legerdemain. “Please, don't cry my darling, you may have broke a nose but if you accept my gift you will just gain a rose...” And it was, also, the cheapest of his puns.
And all this was while the girl was still getting up.

Asheah smiled and pulled herself, "We fall to amuse others, I'm afraid. And I saw that foot of yours, I'm glad you enjoyed watching me fall flat on my face." She wasn't going to retaliate, which proved that Asheah truly had changed. If she was her old self she would have smacked this guy silly and had him thrown in the dungeon. She pulled at her dress and ripped off the long dragging parts, making it shorter, but still elegant. She smirked at the guy and continued on her way.

As soon that the girl turned her back to Phinn, the mean traveler couldn't help bearing a smile from ear to ear. Messing with people, his most loved hobby... He usually did so only in the wild but that one girl seemed to him a so good opportunity for fun that his mind solely said: "Whatever!". It was not so much steps before that Phinn was at the woman's side.
"You got a sharp eye there, eh? Pardon for the... inconvenience. You can call me Phinn."
The man lifted his hand to take out his hat, in compliment to the girl, only to find that the rose he took out of his sleeve a few moments ago was still there. Phinn quickly threw the flower out and, while walking at the girl's side, took out his hat in the middle of a farfetched compliment, bending his body in an abnormal way.
"So, my lady, is there anything I can do to get my apologies accepted?"

Asheah grinned mischievously, "Stand on your hands and walk across a path of burning hot coals...while I sit on your feet."
She laughed at her comment and shook her head at the look he gave her, "Oh you know I'm only joking! You're already forgiven. I didn't get hurt, only aggrivated, which is a common thing these days. Well, Phinn, I'm Asheah."

Phinn could hardly hold the big smile begging to show up on his face. He deemed this girl strange and that was the better kind of person to mess around these days... Common folk was just... predictable... They panic, go out of their minds, cry, get violent... but not this girl, oh not this one. This one was strange enough to play along and not against him in that mind twisting "game" he loved to play.
Phinn put his hat back on his head and faced forward giving Ahseah a slant look. Smiling slightly, Phinn direct his speech to his new acquaintance:
"So... Asheah, then... I was trying to figure... what of cool and trendy is happening lately here in Emerald City, where the glass is green and the girls are witty?" And he finished with a small laughter due to his infamous pun concerning a certain song.

Asheah smirked at him and only shook her head. "I'm afraid that question is wasted on me Phinn. I'm new to town and don't know much of the happenings."
Other than the fact that my brother is alive and in the form of a walking, talking scarecrow and the Wicked Witch of the West is actually alive. She thought to herself as they continued walking. He was quite interesting and entertaining, she had to admit. And he did stand out of the green crowd. But that was something that Asheah admired. She could never stand out of the crowd and draw attention to herself. Someone might actually recognize her with her luck.

Phinn showed his teeth, in an expression of disgust, in a fast instant... He then took the spherical transparent gem from the top of its resting place, the silver colored walking stick held by the juggler. The young man's carelessness was obvious, as so to mess with his only, although extremely powerful, really magical item. The orb not even once obeyed him and, every once in a while, used to put his owner in trouble.
However, Phinnegan took it only for the show and, not wishing something from the item, invoked none of the artifact's exquisite powers. Passing his hands over the sphere Phinn made it appear as if it was fluctuating, traveling alone in the air while its owner performed, over it, a strange dance with his hands. Phinn looked at Asheah and placed the orb between his and her face. He then, asked to the deformed face appearing in his globe:
"Mmm, and you milady? You certainly are not someone not worth writing about it, eh? Could I ask you, my darling, where are you taking your wonderful presence to?"

Asheah smiled and tucked a strand of her long curly hair behind her ear, "I was planning on getting some fruit for dinner, but I seem to have been diverted from that plan. And thank you for the compliment, there aren't many out here that notice me, that's how I like it."
Her mind couldn't help but wander to the possibility of someone recognizing her as the Tigelaar princess, the one that had ran away from home and refused to take the throne. People should read behind the lines though, she wouldn't take what wasn't hers. It belonged to her brother and that was what she believed. She was female after all, and according to law, she was not in the position to take the throne. She needed a man by her side and quite frankly she didn't know if anyone could put up with her. But then her mind drifted to Largon, making a small smile spread on her face.

Phinn would never flatter someone for free, of course... It wasn't just his ego that was bigger than the world, though that was include, but having no one else to care about in his life, he and he alone was the reason of his admiration and praise. Yet, he was still wondering what he could gain with the girl standing in front of him. At the time, he was not looking for much else than help in getting information about where to work. Yet, this girl seemed to be in the same situation as him, lost in a unknown city
"You're welcome, dame..." and one couldn't tell if he was being totally ironic or if he meant that "... well, eh, divertion... this can be serious trouble when you have important things to accomplish and , yet..." And he missed the point he was trying to get to, which wasn't really important, making him change subject as fast as he could use people.
"Well... then can you give me a reason to not leave your presence and go mind my own business? Oh, of course, a reason different than your radiant beauty..."

Frankly, Asheah blushed the darkest color she had blushed in a while. In her whole life, no one had treated her like this. She walked forward, knowing he would follow, as she though about what to say. To be honest, she was enjoying the strange man's company. She sighed and turned to him, a small smile on her face, "I can come up with no reason for you to leave me, Phinn. I was just going to go home and finish cooking dinner. You're welcome to eat with me. I've got plenty. Its hard to cook for one and not have extra, you see."

Phinn stood static for a few seconds before following Asheah.
"...I can come up with no reason for you to leave me, Phinn..." She said.
"Oh yeah, I know that my darling, I recognize that you are not the girl to give me reasons." He thought, hiding the thought in the darkest of his mind.
"...You're welcome to eat with me..." She kept on and, at hearing that statement, Phinn just waited for her to finish talking to answer.
"Well honey, this is more than enough reason to get me around. And sure, I don't mean for the food..." Yes, he meant for the food "... I mean for the reason of having the chance to get a dinner with you" He said while rushing his pace a bit to reach her side and walk by it. He brought his hand to the tip of his hat and looked at her in the eye. Perhaps, he thought, the girl didn't realize how dangerous could that be, inviting some unknown guy to her home. Yet, Phinn could offer no harm to her... of course, other than hurting her feelings.
"I tell you Asheah, my dear, I couldn't score best jackpot today other than meeting you here."

Asheah smiled at the man and continued walking, reaching her small house on a street with many houses like it. She knew that Averic lived near by, as well as the Ozian house of the Good Witch of the South, Oriana Upland. She unlocked her door and let Phinn in. He followed her as she continued to the kitchen to pull the small roast out of the oven. She smiled at the aroma that drifted from the meat as she set it on the table in her small apartment. She smiled at Phinn, "Its ready, is there anything you would like to drink?"

Phinnegan followed Asheah through many streets of Emerald City. At every new corner the juggler/thief turned his attentions to something that could become good opportunity. However, there were no big palaces near the area Asheah brought him to, her home.
"My, my... where would be the high aristocracy waiting for me to rob them, now?" Phinn thought, before entering the house."
Phinn entered the place and already started looking around. His eyes examined the room in search of interesting things such as pictures in the walls. Asheah, however, rushed to the kitchen. Phinn followed her. When the young man entered the place a pleasant smell of cooked meat filled his nostrils.
"Mmm, superb..." He said, while closing his eyes and enjoying the aroma.
"Its ready, is there anything you would like to drink?" She asked him.
Phinnegan looked directly at her eyes. "Well, well, you may try and lie saying that you have eighteen or more. If you do it skillfully enough I may be bent and play my part, pretending you indeed are eighteen or more. Should that be the case, I would accept a wine or something else with alcohol. If not so, I may say a juice of any fruit would do just nicely."
